Friends

Hello,

We were happy to have friends from Chariton deliver some quilts that can be used in our community for many people here have lost their homes because of economic reasons and the storm that went through this summer.

It was so good to see them and learn about the lives of other friends in their town. We were going to order a meal and eat that at our church here because our apartment is not large enough for us to create much distance between us. The phone number that Leroy found did not work to place the order. So we decided to just eat at the restaurant. It was not very busy, but sitting farther apart was still a bit of an issue. I was a bit uneasy about how close we were, but hoping that it will all be ok. In general they have been careful and not been in any crowded areas and frequently wear their masks.

We have a friend here who will distribute the quilts to a homeless shelter. She said they are always looking for more because when people leave they send their quilts with them.

I am not sure how it has happened, but I often seem to be serving as a “middle man”. That appears to be a necessary role to play in getting items from one place to another.

Leroy again used his phone to take a picture of a receipt and print it. Guess that is the new way to make copies at our house. New learning makes a stronger brain, right?
