New Learning

Hello, I now know something about three types of team meeting software. Not an expert, but I can get on, create a meeting, invite others, change the background, chat or deal with the audio or video. It is amazing how technology has changed our lives. What a gift to be able to connect with people from the past who do not live close to us. They can even see my wrinkles. When we walk to church it is also a time of learning. Where are the icy spots, uneven sidewalk, when to cross the street, where is there shelter from the wind, and what is the college student doing with no coat? Last night we volunteered at the Saturday evening meal for the food challenged crowd or anyone who just might like to come eat out with others. We were on the clean up and it was quite usual. At the end of the time, the director of all this looked around and said, “Everyone here is over 70, sigh. Paula, would come over here and see if you can get under this counter to open the drain for the new steam table?” Squatting is my favorite way to get down. However, this was low enough that I had to get on my knees and twist around to get at four handles. It was done. Then it was time to get back down and close the drains. At least I managed to get that done without banging my head. It was definitely a challenge. Not sure who does it when I am not there as many of the volunteers are at the older end of age spectrum.
