Christmas tree still up
Hello,
Nothing has moved with the Christmas decorations. Leroy went to church today to count money. I went to the place to volunteer. Interestingly, the shelves had some bare spaces and almost no donations of canned goods had come in. Before Christmas, the donation amount was almost overwhelming. It was a struggle to keep up and to find a place to put them. In just two weeks things look very different. On the other hand, there was a huge amount of donations today from some of the fast-food places. These are items that cannot be served but are still good. They freeze them and then give them instead of throwing them in the landfill. So this fills two good purposes.
We did meet with our financial advisor today. He told us how much the RMD should be for this year. There was also some talk about the other accounts that we have. Our investments are gaining so we can easily give away more money. This is so important because many people are now living so close to the poverty line.
We can also feel comfortable to take some more trips. We only have one trip planned this year. That will be to Nova Scotia in the summer. Plus, we also have graduation events of two more grandchildren so that will involve some traveling.
