More Rain

Hello, Today we had more torrential rains. I was in Ely for the morning stretch class that I lead. The dark sky was quite in evidence when I was finished. There was some rain, but not much so I headed home. It quickly became more intense. With the radio announcing that there was a tornado warning, heavy rains, and possibly hail. The speculation was that it would be with me in about ten minutes. It would take me about that long to get home. The rain got so strong that it was difficult to see, but I kept going. As I was pulling onto a larger four-lane road, I noticed that four semis were pulled off to the side of the on ramp. Is that a sign? But I still kept going. Then there were semis in the road with their hazard lights flashing. After a while I saw several cars also with lights flashing. Sometimes it was there was a bit of clearing, creating a sense of safety. As it pulled off on the street for home it seemed much better. However, then came a long stretch of street that was covered with water. It felt so good to pull into the quiet of the garage. After I cleaned off the back up camara, and squeegeed some car windows, it seemed I should just brave the rain that was still falling and make a dash for the house. It was wonderful to get in the house. Even though in a tornado it would not be so safe on the second floor, it still felt better. Paula
